A sinkhole in neighboring Armstrong County will be repaired after nearly two years of planning.
Repairs to a large sinkhole at the site of the former Butler Petroleum in the borough of West Kittanning are scheduled to begin in February.
A spokesman for the PA Department of Environmental Protection says that a concrete culvert will be installed to replace one that caved in.
Officials have been petitioning for the repairs because of safety concerns about children who wait at a bus stop nearby and the possibility of severe flooding.
