As the state budget impasse continues, eyes remain focused on Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives.
House GOP leaders have been quiet this month after the Republican-controlled Senate passed a bipartisan revenue plan in July that Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf supports. The problem now is- how to pay for that plan. There is currently a $2.2 billion hole in the budget.
If the budget plan isn’t passed by September, Go. Wolf may need to start freezing cash for state programs or postponing payments to vendors.
