More charges have been filed against a Pittsburgh man after several local groups claim he failed to deliver on grant funding he promised to them.
Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the additional charges against 48-year-old Pittsburgh-based lobbyist Joseph Kuklis.
Kuklis was originally arrested last month for allegedly defrauding six local small businesses by charging fees for grant applications that he never submitted. Since then, 14 other small businesses, non-profits, universities, and schools have reported he has victimized them as well including the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Township and the It’s About the Warrior Foundation in Wexford.
Kuklis has been charged with multiple counts of Deceptive or Fraudulent Business Practices, Forgery, and Theft by Deception. This investigation is ongoing and anyone who believes they might also have been defrauded by Kuklis should call the Office of the Attorney General.
