Some residents in Butler County looked out the window early Monday and saw nothing- no rain, no snow and no problems on their local roads. For others, however, that wasn’t the case.
A narrow band of snow quickly dumped a couple inches of snow overnight in Allegheny County and areas to the north- southern Butler County- got hit in the process.
One Butler County school district, the Mars Area School District, is operating on a two-hour delay on Monday. Several school districts in northern Allegheny Co. and surrounding Pittsburgh have delayed schools as well.
The snow is expected to quickly move out of the area and leave behind sunshine and temperatures in the mid-30s. It’s expected to drop to 12 degrees tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
