For the second time in a week, two students escaped from Summit Academy in Summit Township.
The latest escape was short-lived. Authorities say two students left campus at midnight, but were apprehended and back on campus by 12:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Last weekend (on Saturday night), a student fled from campus. That student has also since been apprehended.
In both cases, nearby residents were alerted that students had left campus.
Summit Academy is a private, residential program for boys and young men ages 14 to 19 who have committed juvenile and criminal offenses.
