Runners from all over the area will travel to Moraine State Park this weekend for a test of abilities and endurance.
The 7th annual Glacier Ridge Trail Ultramarathon and Trail Race is scheduled for this Saturday from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Four different events will be held including a 30K Trail Run and Endurance Hike, the 50K Ultramarathon, the 50 mile Ultramarathon, and a 50 mile five person relay. The race route will follow the Glacier Ridge and North Country Trail paths in Moraine State Park and Jennings Environmental Education Center.
250 runners are expected and some proceeds will go towards expanding trails at Moraine, Jennings, and McConnells Mills. An event schedule is available online at glacierridgetrailultra.com.
