A jury of six men and six women was seated Monday in the murder trial of an Armstrong County man who escaped from jail.
Opening statements and testimony will begin Tuesday morning in the trial of Robert Crissman Jr.
Last July, 39-year-old Crissman- who authorities say was a trustee at the Armstrong County Jail- walked away from the facility because he had access to an open door.
He then walked to the home of a couple he knew and allegedly strangled 55-year-old Tammy Long of Rayburn Township.
Crissman was caught the next morning after a short police chase.
