One student was injured in a shooting at Erie High School earlier today.
Officers were called for a shooting victim around 9:30 a.m. at the city-based high school. Authorities say the victim was in stable condition and suffered non-life threatening injuries. That student is being treated at an Erie hospital.
As of 11 a.m. the shooting suspect was not in custody.
The building was placed on lockdown until all students could be safely dismissed.
Local Congressman Mike Kelly, who represents Erie County, said in a statement that his office has been in touch with the Erie School District and is offering any assistance necessary.
