An Allegheny County woman was injured following a one car crash that occurred last week in Lancaster Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a 70-year-old Pittsburgh woman was traveling north on Interstate 79 on Wednesday afternoon when a deer jumped onto the roadway.
Authorities say that the woman swerved to avoid the deer, and then drove up onto an embankment before striking a tree and guide rail.
Officials say that the woman suffered minor injuries, and was transported to UPMC Passavant in Cranberry Township for treatment.
