Multiple people sustained injuries as a result of a two vehicle crash in Jefferson Township Tuesday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 3 p.m. for the collision at the intersection of Saxonburg and Lefever Roads.
Crews from Saxonburg were among those arriving on the scene to find four motorists in need of medical attention for chest pain. A portion of the road needed to be closed in order to allow for a guardrail to be removed.
A Life Flight helicopter was requested to land at the Saxonburg Fire Station to transport at least one person for additional treatment.
