An Ohio man has been charged with the robbery of a Grove City bank last summer.
According to State Police, 39-year-old Santino Sherman of Cincinnati was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday.
State Police from the Mercer Barracks responded to the Grove City Area Federal Credit Union shortly after 4 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2017. An investigation revealed that the same person was likely responsible for a robbery attempt at another bank in Ellwood City, Lawrence County.
Physical evidence left at both scenes resulted in robbery and theft charges filed against Sherman, who is expected to be extradited back to Pennsylvania for trial.
