Officials with Consolidated Communications are warning of a potential scam.
A listener told our newsroom that they were sent an email that appeared to be from Consolidated asking them to update their account information.
However, the listener said the email appeared suspicious and they contacted Consolidated Communications, who told them that it was a fake.
The email warned that if the customer did not update their account information in the next 24 hours, there would be limitations put on their account. It also included a link to another website.
Consolidated encourages their customers to reach out to customer support if they have any questions regarding emails.
