As many prepare for activities celebrating St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, a national organization wants to remind motorists to keep safety first.
According to AAA officials, driving under the influence of alcohol could lead to deadly crashes as well as expensive fines.
AAA recommends that anyone planning on traveling to a celebration with alcohol designate a driver, schedule a ride share, or utilize public transit.
Other recommendations for a safe St. Patrick’s Day include renting a hotel room or planning to stay overnight where you are, not allowing friends or relatives who have had too much to drink to get behind the wheel, and call 911 if you observe a vehicle driving dangerously.
