A Butler County company has been recognized with a regional award for significant improvements to building a skilled local workforce.
Oberg Industries was named Butler County Employer of the Year by the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board at a meeting last week.
The award highlights the collaboration of business and workforce development in Armstrong, Butler, and Indiana Counties.
Oberg Industries will celebrate their 70th anniversary next year as a global manufacturer of complex, precision machined and stamped metal components. Oberg has over $130 million in annual sales and employs almost 800 skilled workers in plants located in Sarver and Freeport as well as a facility in Costa Rica.
