One more hot day is in store before forecasters with the National Weather Service say temperatures will start to decline.
Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to again rise into the 90s. On Tuesday, several locations across the region hit into the mid 90s. Pittsburgh hit 95 degrees, which ties the old records of 95 set in 1953 and 1884.
Heat index values- or what it really feels like- were in the upper 90s, including 98 degrees in Connoquenessing, Harmony and Portersville; 97 in Sarver, New Castle and Foxburg.
Medical experts say heatstroke is a real concern in this kind of temperatures. It’s caused by your body overheating. Early signs of heat stroke include a throbbing headache, dizziness, fainting and a lack of sweating.
