The North Washington Rodeo will not be having their parade or queen competition this year.
Organizers said in a Facebook post that the rodeo had to make cuts in order to make the annual event financially viable. They said a reduced number of resources, whether through fundraising or volunteers, have made it difficult to continue on with some parts of the parade.
They remain hopeful to bring back the parade and queen competition next year.
The rodeo itself will still happen from August 16-20th. There will be an opening night kickoff party on August 15th inside the rodeo arena.
