The North Country Brewing Company in Slippery Rock has issued a voluntary recall of some of its canned products.
The products were packaged between July 1 and September 15. The company announced last week that the problem has to do with oxidization, which can cause an “off” flavor. There are no risks to health or safety concerns and no draft products are included in the recall, according to the company.
“We have recognized an issue with our canning line and due to those issues, we have announced a voluntary recall of all canned products packaged this year from July 1st to September 15th,” a statement from the company reads.
North Country says customers who purchased beer affected by the recall can return all empty or full cans for new product or a refund.
“We have been working on getting our canning line fixed. Recently, we have called in the New England-based mobile canning company, Iron Heart Canning, to ensure quality products. We would like to invite consumers who have purchased beer affected by this recall to exchange for newly canned products or full compensation of the purchase price,” according to the company.
