Butler Township residents will not see a tax hike next year.
The commissioners approved the 2019 budget of $8 million at their last scheduled meeting of the year, which was on Monday.
The average township homeowner will continue to pay about $157 in township taxes.
This marks the eighth consecutive year that property taxes have remained stable at 11.25 mills in the township. A mill generates $1 of income for each $1,000 of a property’s assessed value.
“Christmas comes early for the residents of Butler Township,” Commissioner Dave Zarnick said during Monday’s meeting.
