Negotiations continue between the South Butler School Board and the teachers’ union with little to no progress.
The two sides last met Tuesday night and issued statements describing different versions of what happened. No agreement was reached and no contract was signed.
The teachers’ union released a statement on Wednesday that reads in part:
“It is safe to say that after 1,355 days of negotiations and 1,185 days since the expiration of the contract between the South Butler Teachers and School District, the parties don’t agree on much. Tuesday’s bargaining session was no different.”
Both sides did agree to meet for another session on Monday.
The two sides have been working without a contract for over three years.
