Authorities are trying to find out what caused a weekend fire at a plant in northern Butler County.
The blaze was reported about 8 a.m. Saturday at Oxbow Activated Carbon on Route 38 (Oneida Valley Road) in Allegheny Township.
No one was at the plant when the fire started and no one was hurt. The roof of the plant was damaged.
At least seven fire departments were called to the scene. Route 38 was closed for several hours. A fire marshal is investigating the cause.
The plant makes carbon used in water filters. The company is headquartered in Emlenton.
