Criminal charges will not be filed in connection with alleged abuse at Glade Run Lutheran Services.
Butler County District Attorney Rich Goldinger told our newsroom “As it stands right now, unless some other evidence presents itself to us, we don’t intend on filing any criminal charges against either the children that were involved with the alleged incidents or any staff who were working at Glade Run at the time.”
Goldinger made the decision due to a lack of proof about who was aware of the child on child abuse.
However, just because evidence does not exist to prove a criminal case does not mean that other kinds of litigation will not occur.
“I’m not going to get into the civil aspect of this but the standard is different and the result may be different in that court,” Goldinger explained.
Glade Run is appealing a decision by the state that revoked their residential treatment facility license after the abuse was discovered.
