The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the Baltimore Orioles 9-3 in exhibition baseball Wednesday. Juan Nicasio was the Pirates starting pitcher. He allowed one hit over four innings, and struck out 10. Nicasio was brought into camp with a chance to become the long reliever in the Pirates bullpen, but was thrown 10 scoreless innings in Grapefruit League play as a starter. Andrew McCutchen hit his 2nd home run of the spring. The Bucs host the New York Yankees today. The game will be televised on Root Sports at 1:05pm.
