Saturday marked the first day of the NFL Divisional Round, with the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons squaring off in NFC action, and the New England Patriots and Houston Texans representing the first AFC game.
In the Seattle – Atlanta game, the Seahawks jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in an interesting first quarter where both teams only had one offensive possession. However, the Falcons were able to runaway with the game with a big 19 point second quarter, en route to winning by a final of 36-20.
In the New England – Houston game, the Patriots held a 17-13 lead going into halftime, but a big second half helped the Patriots win by a final of 34-16.
As for today’s NFL action, the Steelers will travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs in the AFC, and the Green Bay Packers will travel to Texas to play the Dallas Cowboys to wrap up NFC action. Next weekend will feature the AFC and NFC Championship Games.
