The NFL has canceled the Pro Bowl scheduled to be played in Las Vegas on January 31st, one week before the Super Bowl. The league canceled the all-star game in part because it needs flexibility in January in case it needs to move regular-season games because of coronavirus postponements. They hope to replace the Pro Bowl with virtual activities.
There is no Thursday Night Football game tonight due to shuffled schedules from coronavirus issues among the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots. New England quarterback Cam Newton has been activated from the COVID list and could return as starter this weekend.
Legendary Alabama football coach Nick Saban has tested positive for coronavirus – as did athletic director Greg Byrne Wednesday. Saban will miss the #2-ranked Crimson Tide game with #3 Georgia this weekend – with offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian overseeing game preparations.
The SEC has also postponed the LSU-Florida game this weekend after an outbreak of 21 positive tests among the Gator players.
