With the new year comes a new trash hauler for residents in Butler Township.
Waste Management is now contracted with the township to provide solid waste disposal and recycling services, following a vote by the township commissioners late last year. The contract will run for eight years.
Residents should have already received two 96-gallon carts to use- one for trash and another for recycling. Residents are permitted to fill the cart and place two additional 33-gallon trash bags outside of their cart each week at no extra cost.
A 15 percent senior discount is also available.
