A new legislative session gets underway in Harrisburg Monday.
Fiscal issues are expected to dominate this new session with the state running a $500 million budget deficit this fiscal year, which is expected to grow to more than $1.5 billion next year.
Republicans hold near historic majorities in both the House and Senate. The GOP holds 122 of the 203 seats in the House and 34 of the 50 Senate seats, the largest majorities in more than 60 years.
