Your personal fireworks display may be a bit ‘louder’ this year.
A new law in Pennsylvania allows consumers to buy more powerful fireworks that had been illegal for decades.
Residents can now buy the “Class C” or consumer-grade fireworks that include firecrackers, Roman candles, bottle rockets and similar fireworks that contain a maximum of 50 milligrams of explosive material.
They became legal under an October 2017 law that replaced the Fireworks Act of 1939.
