Butler County has approved a new hazard mitigation plan.
Commissioners voted unanimously on the five-year plan at their meeting last week.
The county’s Emergency Services Director Steve Bicehouse says not much changed from the previous plan, but COVID did have an impact.
“There’s nothing significantly outstanding, other than, as you know the world has changed with COVID, and so there are a significant portion of the plan that relates to infectious disease-related mitigation plans,” Bicehouse told commissioners.
Bicehouse said that the county is required to update its plan every five years per federal law.
