While many will be watching fireworks and even lighting some themselves, a new bill in Harrisburg aims to put a limit on the timeframe of the activity.
The law approved by the state senate would restrict the time allowed to light consumer-grade fireworks to 10 a.m. till 10 p.m.
There are exceptions built around the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve.
It also increases the penalties and fines if someone is in violation of the law.
