The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the Washington Capitals 4-1 last night at the Consol Energy Center. Evgeni Malkin scored the Pens only goal. Winger Beau Bennett left the game with an injury. It was the first game for new head coach Mike Sullivan. The Pens visit the Boston Bruins Wednesday for an 8pm game, then host the Bruins Friday.
During the game last night, the Pens traded defenseman Rob Scuderi to the Chicago Blackhawks for defenseman Trevor Dailey. The 36-year old Scuderi was known as a defense-first player. The 32-year old Dailey is more of an offensive defenseman, having scored 16 goals last season with the Dallas
