A New Castle man is recovering after accidentally shooting himself Wednesday at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.
State police said the 63-year-old man- who was not identified- was in the restroom near JCPenney about 5 p.m. when he dropped a small caliber handgun. The gun fell and it fired when he tried to catch it.
The man was treated for non-life threatening injuries by Butler Ambulance Service personnel, and no one else was injured in the mishap.
The man was licensed to carry a concealed firearm.
