An area hospital has recently received a state honor.
Jamison Health System in New Castle was awarded the 2015 Champion of Older Workers Award by the PA Department of Aging during the annual PA Partners Employment, Training, and Education Conference in Hershey.
The honor was given to recognize Jamison’s dedication to hire and train older members of the workforce.
Jamison Health System is Lawrence County’s largest employer with over 1,300 employees and over 30 percent of those employees are 55 or older.
