It’s now been one year since a new law took effect requiring all infants and children under two ride in a rear-facing car seat.
Some officers may have been lenient to drivers not complying due to the newness of the law, but that is coming to an end.
“The grace period is over,” Jana Tidwell with AAA said. “Fines will kick in at $125 per violation.”
The law took effect on Aug. 12, 2016.
