A bus route modification to take riders to the new Butler Health System facility has been approved.
The Butler Transit Authority Board of Directors gave approval to Executive Director John Paul to make the changes Tuesday night. The new route will begin April 1.
Several stops will be eliminated in order to make enough time for the Route 3 bus to include the Summit Township facility in its daily route. One stop that will be cut is the trip to the Community Health Clinic which is utilized by riders less than one time per day, according to officials.
Butler Health System will contribute $4,000 per year in local matching funds to the Authority for the ride service.
