A traffic alert for drivers who plan on heading south of Pittsburgh this weekend.
PennDOT will be shutting down the southbound lane of the Neville Island Bridge on I-79 this weekend due to ongoing construction.
The closure will begin Friday at 9 p.m. and continue through 5 a.m. Monday.
A detour will be in place that will take drivers through Sewickley.
PennDOT also says that only one northbound lane on the bridge will be open during that time.
