This week is National Library Week and local librarians are encouraging residents to check out what they have to offer. Kathy Kline is with the North Trails Library on Route 308 and she says while we may think of the Dewy Decimal system—libraries now offer much more than just books.
“We have over 400,000 items that we share back and forth from one library to another,” Kline said. “We have many, many, many new electronic resources, not just e-books.”
Kline says one library card gets you access to the nine libraries in Butler County.
Students in the Mars Area School District’s elementary schools will celebrate the week with a series of theme days including wearing exercise clothes today to recognize how non-fiction books exercise minds and Reading Rainbow day tomorrow.
