Rob Kauffman, currently co-owner of Michael Waltrip Racing, has agreed to buy an interest in Chip Ganassi Racing. Both organizations presently field two cars each in the Sprint Cup Series. In a statement released Thursday, M-W-R said the companies would continue to operate separately for the remainder of the 2015 season but offered no details on 2016 and beyond.
Saturday Night Live Racing at Mercer Raceway Park this weekend includes kids bike races. Racing begins at 7pm Saturday.
At Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, they have a doubleheader scheduled for this weekend with the RUSH Late Models racing Saturday for $12,000 in prize money. The All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars race Sunday night. Dale Blaney, who won the Don Martin Silver Cup earlier this month, currently leads the All-Star point chase by 164 points over Cody Darrah.
