Nascar unveiled the 2018 schedules for its three national series, and there are significant changes to the Cup Series. The final regular season race to determine playoff series will be run at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in September, with the Richmond race moving two weeks later and into the “Chase” format. The Charlotte fall race will be moving from the track’s traditional layout to the 2.5 mile, 13-turn road course that snakes through the infield and incorporates much of the oval. All three series will start their seasons at Daytona and end at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, but the Daytona 500 will move back up to the President’s Day weekend.
