The Nascar Sprint Cup Series will hold the second race of the Chase for the Championship Sunday at New Hampshire. The race begins at 1pm on WBUT 1050am and at wbut.com. Jeff Gordon will make his 789th consecutive start on Sunday, breaking Ricky Rudd’s record of 788 that was set from 1981 through 2005. Gordon has not missed a race since debuting in NASCAR’s top division in 1992. Joey Logano is the defending race champion. Kyle Busch won the July race at the track this season.
The Camping World Truck Series will also race at New Hampshire Saturday.
The X-Finity Series will race at Kentucky Speedway Saturday night in the last of six “stand-alone” races this season.
