The 2015 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup now moves from the Midwest to New England for Sunday’s SYLVANIA 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Chase drivers have won this race all eleven years the current post-season structure has been in place. Joey Logano, the Number-4 seed in this year’s Challenger Round, is the defending race winner while Kyle Busch won the season’s first stop at “The Magic Mile” on July 19th. But this race may not be a good indicator of the eventual series champion. Of those eleven years, the eventual Chase winner has won the fall New Hampshire race twice.
B-R-P … Bombardier Recreational Products – a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of power sports vehicles – has been introduced as title sponsor of the twin 150-mile qualifying races for the Daytona 500. Next year’s races will be known as the Can-Am Duel at Daytona to spotlight B-R-P’s “Can-Am” brand of all-terrain and side-by-side vehicles. The company is based in Quebec, Canada. Next year’s twin qualifying races will be held on February 18th at Daytona International Speedway, three days before the fifty-eighth running of the Daytona 500 that’ll officially kick off the 2016 NASCAR season.
