Veteran driver Paul Menard has announced he will retire from full-time driving at the Nascar Monster Energy Cup Series level at the end of the season. Menard, the 2011 winner of the Brickyard 400, will vacate his seat in the #21 Wood Brothers car, and that ride will be given to Matt DiBennedetto. DiBennedetto has had an impressive season with the Levine Family Racing #95 car, but that team chose to move on to Christopher Bell next year. Bell is one of the top talents in the X-finity Series.
The top 16 Nascar drivers begin the 2019 playoffs by putting their best winning manevers on display along the Las Vegas Strip tonight. Nascar will hold their annual America Burnout Boulevard Driven by Goodyear tonight at 7pm and televised on NBCSN. Analysts Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte will judge the best burnouts. The Nascar playoffs begin in Las Vegas with a Sunday night race this weekend. Coverage on WBUT begins at 6pm.
