A local nonprofit organization is offering a free educational program for friends and family of those dealing with mental illness.
Family to Family is an 8 week program sponsored by NAMI, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness, that begins on Wednesday at 6 p.m. through April 29th at the Center for Community Resources in Butler.
Butler resident Donna Lamison is the new Executive Director of the Butler County chapter of NAMI.
“It’s to help families improve coping and problem solving abilities to deal with crisis and how to access resources in the community,” Lamison said.
Those interested in participating should call NAMI’s office to register by this Tuesday.
