At least two people have been injured as a result of a multiple vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Jefferson Township.
The call came in to the Butler County 911 Center just after 2 p.m. for a crash near the intersection of Freeport Road (Rt 356) and Fisher Road.
Crews from Saxonburg Fire Department and Saxonburg EMS responded to the scene to find two vehicles involved. One person was complaining of back pain while another complained of chest pain.
A portion of Route 356 up to Great Belt Road needed to be shut down for a time to allow for both vehicles to be towed and the scene to be cleared. The extent of those injuries and the cause of the crash are both unknown at this time.
