Six individuals were hurt after a large fight at the Mid-Atlantic Youth Services Center in the northern part of our county Saturday night.
The State Police in Butler say that around 5:30pm last night, 24 live-in students were fighting in the cafeteria at the Allegheny Township facility. During the altercation, staff members were also assaulted.
Officials say that in total, four staff members and two students suffered injuries, and were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Troopers from the Butler, Clarion, and Franklin Barracks all responded to the alternation, along with two additional officers from Emlenton.
Authorities plan to file charges upon completion of their investigation.
