Multiple crews battled a residential structure fire Sunday morning in Muddy Creek Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just after 5 a.m. for a fire in the 300 block of Stone Church Road in Prospect.
Crews from Portersville, Harmony, Prospect, Slippery Rock, Unionville, Connoquenessing, and Butler Township were among those arriving on the scene to find flames visible from the roof. No one was harmed as a result of the fire but the structure sustained significant damage.
Portersville Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department used their new 2002 Pierce Engine at this fire and crews remained at the scene for nearly four hours.
