A garage in Muddy Creek Township was severely damaged as a result of a fire early Friday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 1:30 p.m. for a large amount of black smoke coming from a detached garage in the 600 block of Yellow Creek Road.
Firefighters from Portersville Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department were joined at the scene by those from Prospect, Harmony, Slippery Rock, and Connoquenessing.
The 20 by 20 structure was fully involved and a vehicle also on fire in the woods was endangering another structure. The cause of that fire is unknown at this time and one person is believed to have needed medical treatment.
