Butler County Emergency Services has received a couple of large donations of protective masks.
MSA Safety in Cranberry Township donated 960 protective N95 masks that will be given to ambulance companies across the county for use by paramedics treating patients.
With help from Highmark Health and the Allegheny Health Network, MSA obtained a total of 65,000 of these masks which filter out 95% of contaminants.
An additional 3,600 masks from EMS West in Allegheny County will be used for patients being treated by EMS personnel.
