A motor home and a pickup truck were destroyed in a Monday morning fire in Center Township.
Unionville Assistant Fire Chief Mike Pflugh said his department was alerted of the blaze about 8 a.m.
“The homeowner said he was listening to the radio and heard a ‘pop’ and a ‘hiss’ and he looked outside and saw his camper was on fire,” Pflugh said in an interview.
The motor home and truck were parked outside a two-story house located on Aggas Road in West Sunbury, which did sustain some minor siding damage, but was overall saved from the flames.
Also saved was a Chevy Camaro that was parked outside next to the destroyed truck.
“He (the homeowner) grabbed the keys to the camaro and was able to move it but the truck was already engulfed in flames,” he said.
Pflugh said the homeowner was not injured. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature. The 1995 motor home was plugged in.
