More snow is expected today after Butler County residents got their fill of winter weather over the weekend.
The latest winter storm hit our area on Friday and with it came flooding, then freezing rain, sleet and then snow. According to the National Weather Service, between 6 and 8 inches of snow fell in the county. Before that, some areas received 2.5 to 3 inches of rain. Roadways are mostly dry this morning but you could run into some slick spots on secondary roads due to the well-below freezing temperatures.
PennDOT is not reporting any road closures.
Today’s forecast calls for afternoon, evening and overnight snow on and off, with a possible accumulation of 2 to 4 inches by the time you wake up Tuesday.
