Butler Township Police have released more information on a crash that sent one person to the hospital late last week.
Police were called to the intersection of McCalmont and Meridian road Thursday morning for a reported two vehicle accident.
The accident happened as 45-year-old Shanna Austin of Saxonburg was traveling south on Meridian road and attempted to take left turn on to McCalmont. When attempting to take that turn Austin collided with a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Adaeze Aroh of Butler.
Both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. Aroh suffered an injury in the crash and was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The intersection was closed as crews worked to clear the scene.
